10 Worship Songs You Need to Have in Your Playlist

Do I have anybody that absolutely LOVES worship music? Well, I do! Worship music helps me get out of the funk I sometimes feel. Whenever my brain feels cloudy or my emotions are out of wack, I just turn on some music from my worship playlist and begin to sing! Whether I turn on music from my Apple Music playlist or I head over to Youtube, I somehow end up worshipping for hours lol

I tend to like worship music that repeats God’s Word into me so that I can meditate on it. Listening to worship music laced with God’s Word keeps you focused on God’s promises and what He believes about you and has for you. I like to listen to music that also puts the focus back onto God and less on myself. Beware of music that focuses too much on us as people and not enough on God. That leads to self-righteousness and pride.

I listen to a mix of different types of worship music. I have a little bit of Christian Contemporary on my list, Christian hip-hop and gospel. So below, you’ll find a mix of everything and prayerfully you find something you enjoy!

  1. “Promises” by Maverick City Music

This is one of my favorite songs! Not only are the voices that sing this song sing it with perfection, but the lyrics are so moving. Here’s a snippet of the chorus

“Great is Your faithfulness to me
Great is Your faithfulness to me
From the rising sun to the setting same
    I will praise Your name
Great is Your faithfulness to me”

I LOVE this chorus! I listen to this song on repeat often. This definitely needs to be added to your playlist.

2. “Never Lost” by All Nations Worship Assembly Atlanta

This is a classic right here! I love this worship team as it has some of my favorite artists on it and this song is so good.

“Wind listen to the sound
Of power on my lips
Jesus has broken the curse
He has never lost a battle
Who are you great mountain?
You should not bow low?
Jesus defeated the darkness
He has never lost a battle

And He never will, He never will
And He never will, He never will”

Wow! How powerful are those lyrics? I get excited just typing those lyrics out!

3. “Sunday Morning” by Lecrae

For those of you who enjoy Christian Hip-Hop and rap, this song by Lecrae will satisfy your needs. I like variety and sometimes I like a little energy when I worship and this song gets me up and dancing! Lecrae generally makes great music but this song and honestly, his entire album called “Restoration” is amazing. This song also features Kirk Franklin and it’s just such a feel-good song that’ll wake you up in the morning.

4. “Good” by One House Worship

This song just came out in March 2021 and I’ve already played it about 100 times. I first found it on YouTube and the live video shoot is soooo good! This song will have you yelling and running around the house because the lyrics are so empowering.

“You’ll never let me go
You catch me when I fall
You’ll never let me go
You’re Good, you’re Good
You are Faithful

You are Good,
So, so Good, you are Good
You’ve never Left me
You are Good,
So, so Good, you are Good
You’ll never let me go”

This is the truth about God! He’s so good and He’ll always catch us when we fall. Add this to your rotation ASAP! This song will definitely bring you up when you’re feeling left out and lonely.

5. “Jireh” by Elevation Worship and Maverick City Music

Two of my favorite worship teams came together to create this amazing song. This song also came out earlier this year and it’s at the top of my list of favorite songs. This song uses one of God’s names “Jireh” which means “God provides.” This always reminds me of how God will always provide for your needs. Not your wants but your needs as children of God.

6. “Without Your Love” by Travis Greene

Travis Greene has been one of my favorite artists for a while now. I love the energy and passion he gives in all of his songs. I saw him live in concert back in 2018 and it was sooo good! His lyrics are straight to the point and gives me so much life and encouragement. This song is another one that will have you jumping around the room.

7. “Proverbs 3” (Tablet of Your Heart) by Todd Dulaney

Todd Dulaney is my third favorite male worship singer outside of Travis Greene and Chandler Moore. You can literally feel the passion in his voice as he sings. The lyrics of this song come straight from the Bible in Proverbs 3. Todd Dulaney put music and melody behind scripture to make such an amazing song!

8. “Come and Move” by All Nations Worship Assembly Atlanta

Ok this song takes me out and lays me on the floor each time! I absolutely love this song. Chandler Moore is singing the lead and his voice is just amazing.

9. “Reckless Love” by Bethel Music and Steffany Gretzinger

This is definitely one of those classic worship songs that became popular in 2019. This song talks about how God consistently pursues us despite all of our actions that would deter anyone else from doing so. The lyrics of this song are so personal.

“Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God
Oh, it chases me down, fights 'til I'm found, leaves the 99
And I couldn't earn it
I don't deserve it, still You give yourself away
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God”

10. “Your Great Name” by Todd Dulaney

Ok I had to end this list with one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite artists. I love this song! It gets me so excited. The lyrics and the melody of the song are so uplifting and encouraging as it talks about how we can call on Jesus’ name for anything! For freedom, for strength, for encouragement for ANYTHING.

So, here are 10 worship songs that you should add to your playlist right now! If you don’t have a worship playlist, use these songs to start one. Here’s a link to my personal worship playlist on Apple Music that you get more songs from!
